HER STORY:
Zozie was found together with her three siblings and their mother in a remote area of Lagonisi, Attica. After two days of coordinated rescue efforts, we managed to safely trap all four fearful puppies, along with their mother. The family had been living in extremely difficult conditions, exposed to countless dangers, with no shelter, protection, or the care they desperately needed. Since her rescue, Zozie has been living in a volunteer foster home, where she is safe and cared for while waiting for the loving forever home she truly deserves.

CHARACTER:
Zozie may be a little shy and cautious at first, but with patience, consistency, and respect for her own pace, she gradually reveals her wonderful personality. All she needs is time and the opportunity to feel safe and learn to trust.
She is friendly with both dogs and cats, making her a great match for a family that already has pets. She is a calm dog, but she also enjoys playtime and can show bursts of energy once she feels comfortable, which allows her to fit well with different types of personalities, both human and animal.
When meeting unfamiliar people, Zozie can find it difficult to feel safe. Her initial response, driven by fear (most likely due to her experiences as a stray and limited socialization), is to move away and hide. She is not a dog who will immediately open up to everyone she meets, but one who needs time to understand that she is in a safe and caring environment.
Zozie needs people who are willing to invest in building a relationship with her through patience, consistency, and positive guidance. She will first need to develop a strong bond with her new family and, once she feels secure, gradually meet new people through controlled and positive experiences. With the right support, she can continue to build her confidence and learn to trust the world around her.
