HER STORY:
Sylvie is one of the cats rescued from the inhumane conditions they were kept in under a hoarder. For a long period, her life was confined to a small carrier crate, without light, without space, and without any freedom. She never experienced what it means to play, be petted, or feel the sun. And yet, despite everything she endured, Sylvie did not lose her trust in people. Today, she is in a safe foster environment and is looking for a home of her own.
CHARACTER:
Despite the traumatic experiences that marked the beginning of her life, and given time, Sylvie has grown into an irresistibly affectionate cat. She can coexist harmoniously with other cats and even dogs, as long as she is given the necessary time to adjust and introductions are made gradually. Sylvie is a lively and happy presence, finally claiming her right to live like a normal cat, in a home that will respect her, love her, and offer her the stability she so deeply needs.
HEALTH:
Unfortunately, Sylvie is living with only one functioning kidney.
After a period in which the volunteers noticed mild anorexia, she was taken to a veterinarian where it was discovered that one of her kidneys is no longer functional and has atrophied. Given her history and the conditions she was previously kept in, confined in a carrier crate, this finding was not entirely unexpected.
As a result, she requires a special urinary diet and supplements to support her urinary system, as well as regular monitoring through blood tests and ultrasounds.
