HIS STORY:
In 2024, when two of our volunteers moved into a house, they began caring for the cats that started appearing in the area. One of them was Pistoulis, who suddenly showed up one day in their yard.
From a distance, something about his walk felt off. When they got closer, they immediately understood why. He was completely blind! There was no visible pupil or iris in his eyes, only a dense cloudiness.
Without hesitation, they took him in and brought him to a veterinary ophthalmologist to see if anything could be done. His treatment was demanding: four different eye drops, twice a day, spaced carefully apart, for an entire month. And yet… every bit of effort was worth it!
Pistoulis responded to the treatment and slowly began to regain his sight. Once his recovery was complete, he was neutered and returned to the yard, the place he never really left again. There, he found safety, consistent food and water, and the company of other cats. That’s also how he got his name, because of how faithfully he stayed.
Today, however, it’s time for the next and most important step.
Pistoulis is looking for his forever home.
A home that will give him the permanent safety and love he truly deserves, leaving street life behind for good.

CHARACTER:
Pistoulis is an exceptionally gentle and sensitive soul, with a calm and sweet presence that wins you over from the very first moment. He has a subtle yet meaningful way of asking for attention, truly enjoys being petted, and is not shy about seeking affection, gently rubbing his body against you as he looks for the warmth of human contact. At the same time, he is social and can coexist peacefully with other cats, as well as with dogs, as long as he is given the necessary time to adjust. With a proper, gradual introduction and respectful handling, he settles in beautifully and finds his place in a new environment.
